As the church we face opposition to fulfilling our role and commission. This opposition can come from either within or without. Those doing the opposing from without are those spiritual forces that we sometimes refer to as “powers of darkness” that operate at Satan’s direction. The opposition that comes from within originates in what we know as the flesh, that is, our fallen sinful nature.
I love the way the Lord gets our attention to speak truths. Recently the Lord spoke to me about His love—that it is like our cities postcode, which is 3550!
In the natural heart disease is one of the biggest killers of mankind, epseically in western nations. What then is the condition of the spiritual heart of the church? Is it healthy or as risk? We are in a time when the Lord is causing us to see the reality of our hearts.
How many Christian parents have been faced with the heart wrenching situation of children telling them about a child due out of wedlock, an abortion or perhaps that they are homosexual? One of the hardest things to do as a Christian is to “love the sinner while hating the sin.” To keep the balance is sometimes like walking a tight rope that is suspended many feet in the air. To be merciful, kind and loving to someone without compromising the truth is very difficult. Proverbs says to bind mercy and truth around your neck and write them on your heart. “And so find favour and high esteem in the sight of God and man.” (Provbs 3:3,4)
The restoration of the Tabernacle of David is prophecy being fulfilled. Restoration began when Peter first ministered to the Gentiles. The Jewish Apostles were grappling with the concept that the Gospel was also for the Gentiles.
