A few challenging thoughts
A few days ago, British Isles prophetess, Emma Stark, spoke about a land and air, spiritual war-taking place for ownership and territory. Her challenge was the fact you cannot win the land and air war if your foundation issues are not dealt with. You cannot hold the glory if your foundations are wrong
Godly foundations must be Jesus alone/
Jesus is the cornerstone. A fact all Christians would readily attest to. Jesus is the tried and tested cornerstone, necessary for the establishment of God’s house.
But do our faulty foundations and sacred cows cause us to discard this stone, like ancient builders once did? Do we have any “Ishmael’s”, false refuges, or sacred cows we like. and are unwilling to let go of? Derek Prince used to say; God only delivers us from our enemies—not our friends!!!
The difference between honoring Jesus as the cornerstone and discarding Him is the issue of not having eradicated and pulverized our sacred cows!
“By the mercy of Yahweh the guilt of Jacob will be forgiven. Yet the full proof of their forgiveness will be when they crush all the altars to false gods… crushed to pieces, with neither cultic poles nor incense altars still standing.” Isaiah 27:9
In wooing Israel back to Himself the Lord speaks through Isaiah. From the sequence in chapters 27 through 28, the choice is stark. Israel may have put up ‘stones’ of Asherah poles and built a golden calf. But what to we erect?
“Here’s what the Lord God says: “Behold, I set in place in Zion a Foundation Stone, fully tested and proven to be faithful and secure. And written upon this precious cornerstone is this: ‘Those who trust in him will not act in haste.” Isaiah 28:16
We must ask Holy Spirit what ‘stones’ and obstacles we have littered the highway of holiness with. Once we discard and pulverize these, arise and get building His highway with His sure foundation.
